PATIENCE & EXPECTATIONS

Sarah and her parents had to be patient when waiting for her first modelling job. Both Sarah and her parents have learned that there are busy periods as well as quiet periods, which they enjoy.

Expectations

Sarah was welcomed at Le Management Kids the 10th of september 2021. We didn’t have high expectations, as we know there are lots of amazing kids models and therefore some competition. Despite this, we had hopes that there would be a job option or two now that Sarah had been offered to become a part of LM Kids, which in itself was very flattering and exciting.

Patience

Sarah got new polaroids taken for her profile two times in her first year as a model. But it wasn’t until exactly one day before her 1-year anniversary as a model, that she was offered her first job on the 9th of september 2022. It all came down to patience and new polaroids, but going to the office for new polaroids felt like a cosy and exciting job in itself. After Sarahs first job offer it escalated and Sarah got really busy. She was offered several jobs – both in Denmark and abroad – in Poland and Barcelona among others.

Business and pleasure

The most exciting job was most definitely in Barcelona where Sarah did a job for the Spanish clothing brand The Animals Observatory. It was so cool getting to travel abroad for work. After the shoot Sarah got to enjoy herself and experience Barcelona. It was pretty amazing being lucky enough to combine business with pleasure. One of the benefits of foreign jobs is that you practice speaking the English language while learning about new cultures. Last but not least it is so much fun getting to stay at a hotel. When Sarah has been working in Denmark it is amazing to meet new people and friends, who fortunately speak the same language as Sarah. She has made many acquaintances through working as a model, who she enjoys following on social media.

Everything from the communication with LM Kids before, during and after the trip as well as the work for the customer has been top professional. Generally speaking all the kids models are taken really well care of on all shoots. It all takes place in an incredibly child-friendly environment. It also should be mentioned that there has been wonderful catering for the children and parents at all of the shoots. Sarah has matured so much with her modeling work. She meets a lot of new people, with whom she quickly learns to communicate – both in Danish and English.

Advice for new models and parents

It is a good thing to be patient. As I mentioned, Sarah waited a year before she got her first job. On shoots you also have to be a little patient, as there are usually other models at work too and therefore may be waiting time. We always make sure to have a cosy time with and iPad, pleasant talks and eat some snacks, then time suddenly flies by quickly. Both Sarah and her parents have learned that there can be very busy periods as well as quiet periods, which of course we also enjoy.
