ALMA’S JOURNEY AS A MODEL: FROM SHYNESS TO CONFIDENCE

It all began by chance one summer day on Strøget in Copenhagen, where Alma’s sister was scouted. Although it didn’t lead to a contract for her sister, Alma’s journey as a model started that day. A casting in Aarhus, where Alma attended as a spectator, resulted in an offer for her to have some photos taken. Initially, Alma was not interested, but shortly after, we received a message on Instagram from Le Management Kids, who had noticed her. It was only then that she dared to take the step and attend a casting. Her first job came in September 2023.

Considerations About Being a Model

Before Alma started modeling, we had limited knowledge of the modeling world, despite her older sister having briefly tried it. Alma has always had a cautious and gentle nature and has been insecure about her very different and beautiful hair. We hoped that modeling could boost her confidence and help her appreciate her unique appearance. Our hopes were fulfilled, as she has now become more open and comfortable, both with her appearance and in meeting new people. It has been a hugely positive experience for the family and has created many good memories.

Different Experiences on Modeling Jobs

Alma prefers modeling jobs in Denmark, where she can understand what the adults are saying. The language barrier can be challenging abroad, but with us always close by to translate, it has always been manageable. Alma thinks it’s fun to be on set with other Danish children. It provides an opportunity to play and make new friends, which makes the experience even more positive for her.
Her favorite job is undoubtedly Hummel in Aarhus, especially because of Josefine, an adult who is always present at Hummel shoots. Josefine manages to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere, making Alma feel very comfortable.

What has Alma Gained from Modeling?

Modeling has not only boosted her confidence but also given her new friendships. She enjoys being on set with other Danish children, where they can play and make new friends. We as a family have seen a significant development in Alma, both personally and socially.
